The Derrick Ernst Neighbourhood centre “the DEN “offers a wide range of empowering Community programs to suit our community’s needs.

We aim to connect, grow and strengthen our community by offering engaging programs that will help with socialisation, learning opportunities and building friendly connections.

Our program changes every term with some flexible programs such as First Aid , Parenting programs, healthy eating etc Our core programs are hugely successful , from facilitated playgroups to Migrant English classes and much more.

Migrant English class

30 minutes • FREE

This Free informal English class runs every Tuesday 10am-12 noon Suitable for all levels

Read, Write now

30 minutes • FREE

A free one to one tuition for adults on reading , writing and math

Vinyasa Yoga

Every Monday – 6.30pm-7.30pm – $10

Come along and experience Vinyasa Yoga.  The class is 1 hour long. Everyone welcome




We believe that children are confident involved learners, who through play, exploration and experiences, can connect and contribute to the world around them.

We recognize the importance of play-based learning in the early years; that children have a strong sense of identity which means they learn best when they feel safe and secure.

We provide a home away from home to enable children to have a strong sense of wellbeing and to assist them reach their full potential in their developmental journey.
